JACK S. COUZENS, II is a shareholder of the firm. He was admitted to the Michigan Bar Association in 1968 as well as the Wisconsin Bar Association. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1964 and his J.D. from Wayne State University in 1967. He received his CLU Designation in 1971.
Mr. Couzens has authored "Business Agreements for Use With Life Insurance", in the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company Publication and he has been a lecturer for the Chartered Life Underwriter Programs in Estate Planning and Employee Benefit Planning through the University of Michigan and Wayne State University. He has also been a speaker of "Liquidity at the Second Death", and "Second-to-Die", at the Million Dollar Round Table and the National Conference and Conferment of CLU's.
He has been President and Chairman of the Board for the Oakland County Estate Planning Council. His memberships include Detroit Chapter CLU; State Bar of Michigan; State Bar of Wisconsin and the American Bar Association in which he is a section member in Estate Planning, Employee Benefit Planning and Small Business Law.
Mr. Couzens' primary concentration areas include Estate Planning Law, Corporate Law, Qualified Planning Law and Employee Benefits Law.
