DONALD M. LANSKY is a shareholder of the firm. He was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 1969. He received his B.A. degree from Michigan State University in 1966; his J.D., cum laude, from Wayne State University in 1969 and his LL.M. in Taxation from Wayne State University in 1972.
Mr. Lansky has authored "Proceedings Before the Michigan Tax Tribunal" in the Michigan Real Property Review. He was co-author of "Cash or Deferred Compensation - Flexibility and Cost Reduction in a Qualified Retirement Plan" in the Michigan State Bar Journal and "So You think You Transferred the Family Business - Section 2036(c) Has a Surprise for You" in Taxation for Lawyers.
Mr. Lansky is a member of the State Bar of Michigan as well as the Detroit Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He has served in many offices of the Taxation Section of the State Bar of Michigan, including Chairpersons. He is also actively involved in many charitable organizations including being a current member of the Board of Governors of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit ("Federation") and Jewish Vocation Services ("JVS") and has served as Chairperson of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Federation, Vice-President of the United Jewish Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit and Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of JVS.
Mr. Lansky’s primary concentration areas include Business Mergers and Acquisitions, Business Law, Estate and Charitable Planning Law, Tax Law related to Local, State, Federal and International Law.
