DAVID A. LAWRENCE is a shareholder of the firm. He was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 1993. He is admitted to practice in the Michigan State Courts, the United States District Court for the Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the U.S. Supreme Court, and has been admitted pro hac vice in Illinois, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Hillsdale College in 1990, a Certificate of Merit from the Georgetown University Institute on Comparative Political and Economic Systems in 1989, and his J.D. from Wayne State University Law School in 1993.

Mr. Lawrence concentrates his practice on civil litigation and labor and employment law. He provides both advisory and litigation services concerning commission sales representatives, executive employment agreements, employment discrimination, employer personnel issues and reductions in force, management side traditional labor including union organizing campaigns and collective bargaining, occupational safety and health, business torts, commercial claims and transactional real estate claims. Mr. Lawrence lectures on the subject of employment law, including most recently the Sterling Education Services Seminar "Practical Applications of Employment Law in Michigan."

Mr. Lawrence's professional memberships include the Oakland County and American Bar Associations. He is also a member of the State Bar of Michigan Employment and Labor Law and Litigation Sections.
